Cyber Aces is increasing its efforts to introduce more veterans to training and job opportunities in information security - one of the fastest growing segments of the IT industry.
America’s returning veterans are often exceptionally well qualified to help the United States meet its critical need for technically skilled cybersecurity professionals. Many have information technology and security skills that were honed in the military. In addition, military life itself fosters characteristics critical for success: discipline, loyalty, teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, punctuality, and the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively. Finally, many veterans have security clearances that are required for certain key cybersecurity jobs.

Their sheer numbers and distinctive skills make clear that returning veterans represent a particularly promising talent pool for employers to find or train the skilled cybersecurity professionals to meet their needs.
With over 1,000 veterans registered this season, Cyber Aces will continue to focus on veterans when recruiting, providing mentors and support, and connecting to employers those who demonstrate the highest potential.
